Target Audience
This activity is intended for pulmonologists, internists, primary care providers, and other health care providers who manage patients with ILD.

Statement of Need
Given the heterogeneity and overlap of the fibrosing lung disorders, pulmonologists must be able to recognize the pathophysiology of ILD in the context of systemic sclerosis, but are challenged by the overlapping features of several fibrosing lung diseases. Clinicians need to be aware of both the opportunities and limitations associated with new treatment options for SSc-ILD, and must ensure that they both assess and manage comorbidities to obviate complications, improve response to therapy, and improve quality of life in their patients. Multidisciplinary management and involvement of the patient in decision making is an important component of SSc-ILD management, yet pulmonologists are not incorporating these elements into patient management.

• Review the therapeutic options for the management of SSc-ILD
• Monitor patients throughout their course of treatment and monitor disease progression
• Manage extrapulmonary conditions effectively as they arise

Participants will earn MOC point(s) equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
